Karina Román is the Chair of Puerto Asís Investments, an investment platform with a global and long-term vision, in different strategies, sectors and geographies. Together with her siblings, she leads the Family Office as a multi-generational project with the aim of promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation and commitment in all family members.

Previously, Karina served as president and CEO of ITL, the first private container port in Argentina, with a multimodal logistics platform providing integrated services. She has also led the incorporation of one of the biggest operators in the world, PSA (Port Singapore Authority) as a strategic partner.

Karina Román is currently a member of the Board of Directors of UTDT, founding member of CIPUV and CEPE, member of the Advisory Board of CIPPEC, co-founder and president of Argentina Debate, co-founder and member of Argentinos por la Educación; co-founder of Hacela Rodar, member of Ashoka Support Network and the Accelerator of TEDxRdelaP. She is also an angel investor and mentor of different social innovation projects.
